I've noticed that this CD seems to be to lowest rated Night Ranger CD and can't figure out why. Like many of the reviewers, I have been a Night Ranger fan ever since I saw the "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" video on MTV in 1982 and I also have all of the albums (vinyls and CDs). I have personally LOVED this CD ever since it's release in 1998 and I think that it's the best Night Ranger CD so far and "yes", I've listened to both "Somewhere in California" and "High Road" (and I love those 2 CDs, but not better than this one). I have the 13 track Japanese version that includes the bonus songs "Crazy World" (a ballad with Kelly Keagy vocals) and a keyboard remake of Midnight Madness' "Let Him Run" (also with Kelly Keagy vocals). Perhaps a favorite album is due to when you hear it and where you are in life at the time you hear it and how the songs affect you at that particular time. Is this album like any other Night Ranger album? No it's not. Maybe that's why I love it. It's a very versatile album, not just rockers and ballads, but more of a mature band's music evolution. My favorites on this CD are "Sign of the Times", "Panic in Jane", "Mother Mayhem" (Very Catchy), "Sea of Love" (Best song on the album), "Peace Sign", "When I Call On You" (awesome and touching ballad), and "Revelation". I absolutely think that THIS is a 5 star album. You may disagree, but I don't care. It's awesome!
