It took 19 volumes and 140-odd chapters but we finally meet Escanor at long last! And he is definitely a sight for sore eyes as our heroes are in desperate need of his help when he arrives.But before we meet him, there's still the cliffhanger from last volume regarding Ban to resolve. And it's a doozy!Later still we check back in with Diane and see what she's up to. Will the gang ever be back together? More on that next volume it seems...All in all, another terrific volume! Loved the Ban-centric chapters the best (he's my fav) but was very excited to meet Escanor too as he's got a great look and a peculiar power set. My only critique is this is a (growing) cast of 1000s so it can be a little hard at times remembering who all the supporting characters are, or even what main characters like Diane have been up to when they've been absent for multiple volumes. But you do have to admire the author's ambition and full scope of this world he's created. How he juggles so many characters and plot points amazes me. This is well thought-out stuff. And the artwork is just as incredible as ever. 5 stars!
