Alchemical Tantric Astrology Book: The Hidden Order of Seven Metals, Planets & Chakras - Spiritual Growth, Meditation & Esoteric Studies Guide

Mr. Baker's work provides a holistic, enlightening, and ultimately very user-friendly system of correspondences between western astrology, the chakra system, and alchemical transformation. I find his whole approach (and book) illuminating in its simplicity and empowering in its focus. As an astrological herbalist and crystal-healing practitioner, I weave myth and metaphors on a regular basis for my clients. I recently began trying to visualize a system which linked the chakras, the western "zodiacal man," AND the seven alchemical metals. Luckily for me and the rest of the planet, Baker has masterfully concocted this (very specific) elegant amalgam for our times. I have never read such an approachable and well-crafted methodology, especially in the esoteric realm. In the past, I have looked into Krakower's Human Design, but never fully grasped its particular structure, especially when trying to distill it into something I could see using for clients. Nothing against Human Design, I just personally didn't resonate with it. So I am grateful for Baker's ability to articulate how to implement his ATA system.We are introduced to the ATA chart via Western Astrology's zodiac wheel, detailing each sign's "usual" planets and elements, AND their corresponding alchemical metals, chakras, deeper archetypes and mythology. I especially enjoy the way he weaves in some of the more obscure myths and figures, like Eris, Vacca, and Iris, giving each sign more dimension and dynamism. His organization and down to earth wording gives this otherwise pretty lofty subject matter an approachability for beginner and advanced astrologers alike. After reading the first section, I found that I was able to able to jump around, back and forth from chapter to chapter with ease; for this, I credit Baker's teaching skills, but it's also a testament to just how complementary and interconnected each of these "separate" systems really are.The variety of examples and visuals (Hermetic charts, the ATA model in action, and traditional western zodiac wheel) are also incredibly helpful. Visual learners, this system is for you. I have already returned to this book for clarity and reference (and just plain enjoyment!) many times over. I am grateful to be able to use Baker's system along my own path, and can't wait to incorporate it in my assessments for others. I HIGHLY recommend this book if you are at all curious about how to work with the wisdom of western astrology, alchemy, and/or tantra in your daily life.
